How we gave Aussies a reason to give a click

PayPal’s online shopping button was getting ignored. So we gave Aussies a reason to use it.

We teamed up with Australian comedian Matt Okine to create a webisode-based shopping game show.

Our audience had five minutes and $500 to go wild and buy as many things as they could using PayPal.

It was fun, fast, and showed just how easy it is to shop with PayPal. All while highlighting the huge variety of stuff you can find through their merchants.

The result? It was a hit with audiences and judges. It delivered 10 times more engagement than the digital campaign running at the same. Videos garnered a 61% continuation rate, with more than half of viewers that watched half an episode watching until the end. And best of all, it took out the ‘Best Social Media or Digitally-Led Campaign’ at the 2019 Mumbrella CommsCon Awards.
