ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Lisa, a senior copywriter with a background in advertising, brand storytelling, and PR. I’ve worked at some of Australia’s top advertising and PR agencies, shaping everything from social campaigns, to TVCs, to fully integrated platforms. Along the way, I’ve helped brands like PayPal, Menulog, LinkedIn and Chartered Accountants cut through the noise, and even picked up a few awards.
I’ve worked on campaigns that took out top honours at Mumbrella, like ‘5 Minutes Flat with Matt’ for PayPal, and KFC’s ‘We Back Youth’ initiative. I’ve helped launch new brand platforms, like DermaVeen’s ‘Feel Real Good Body’, which was recognised for creative effectiveness by Kantar. And I’ve created work that sparked conversation – from helping create a bacteria zoo that talks to gut fibre in Kellogg’s breakfast cereal, to inspiring young Aussies to make epic things happen with a career in accounting.
Before advertising, I had a few different jobs – delivering the local paper (my first job at age 12), bar work, office work, a Crew Trainer at Maccas, a group leader at a kids’ summer camp in the USA. I even sold Orgasmatrons (head massagers that give you the tingles) at markets. All this gave me a strong sense of people, empathy and storytelling. These days, I use those skills to write ideas that stick and make people feel something, because I believe emotional connection is everything.
When I’m not crafting ideas or copy, you can find me binge-watching TV shows, out and about exploring the city, or enjoying good food with my family.
